FROM THY ASHES (GERMANY)

1994, FROM THY ASHES is founded with the aim to create dark, intelligent and innovative music. However, the first year sees many line-up changes delaying the development of the band. 1996- In the first half of the year the band's first album, "The Scythe Ages", is recorded. It is around this time that female vocalist Christel Locher joins the band. Shortly after the line-up has to be changed again, Boris Beier joins for Mark Schüßler on guitar and Jan Rademaker becomes the band's first real bass player. Christel Locher leaves the band so that Sebastian is the only singer again. FROM THY ASHES becoming more professional with the new line-up. After some gigs (e. g. the first gig outside Germany in Bludenz/Austria) the band demonstrates its big progress on the demo tape "Tralfamadore". Finally the band finds an exceptional vocalist - Daniel Wamsler - so that Sebastian Schult can concentrate on his guitar from now on.
